Innovative Training Network in Railways

Abstract

This proposal is a MSCA ETN developed to provide integrated doctoral training in the area of railway track infrastructure. This encompasses all rail systems: High-Speed Rail, traditional and light rail, all aspects of track infrastructure from vehicle-rail interaction through rails, fastenings, sleepers, ballast and concrete slab track. The research integrates dynamic effects, the design and construction of railway track and the condition assessment of systems once constructed.
